Why is she living with her parents, does she not want to work or can she not afford to live somewhere else. In many countries families only have one room to live in. If she truly can't afford to live anywhere else, which as a single mother with 3 children could very likely be the case, then I would be asking about programs that could help her find another place to live.

Usually adolescents is the cut off point but an interfering person could probably push this issue on the grounds of overcrowding. The real question is where would they be otherwise? I'm sure the home enviroment is better for the kids with the family than if the poor girl tried to make it on her own. Besides the mother is the one suffering not the children most kids would love to sleep close to mom. It's mom who needs privacy.

is obviously not a good situation but we make do with what we got for the time being. I believe that if the children are of the opposite sex the legal age is 8 for sharing a room (i think and thats in canada)

You can share a room with your child for the rest of your life. Unless they are renting an apartment and wrote on the lease the number of occupants a legal issue should not arise. You can stuff as many people as you want in your home, it's nobody's business.

This is highly legal and I believe that you probably would want to share a room with your child/children so that you can grow a bond even when you're sleeping.

There is no age where you have to stop sharing a room with your child. Lots of people who live in smaller homes do this. There is nothing wrong with it.

I'm not sure, but I believe that after certain age CYS can say that it is unhealthy for the child. That age may vary from state to state.

Considering the circumstances, perhaps she cannot afford to get her own place yet, furniture etc?
Is it a temporary or permanent arrangement?
You need to state why she is living in this type of dwelling.

It all depends on the country or state your living in. Do check local legislation and contact social services when necessary!
Personally, I don't think this is a healthy situation!
