Do you think that other countries are getting all our jobs, our companies and so on instead of the illegal immigrants stealing our jobs and our taxes? Do you think America might dis-integrate into the air because of this? Do you think that America is making us stay on the subject that illegal immigrants are stealing our jobs so that we won't think so much about China and other countries getting all the jobs and companies that belong to the America people?

It's not one or the other. Other people and countries are making out like bandits while we sink and yes it is all their fault! They were smart enough and willing to do what was necessary to make change or take advantage of opportunities. We sit around on our overfed behinds debating issues sometimes yes, but really we're more worried about what's going to happen tonight on Lost. We never get past a half baked debate, we never implement real, sensible working plans. When we do put a plan in place if it doesn't work we just keep hammering away with it, instead of looking in a new direction! The list goes on and on...but where do i see America headed... welcome to the new third world!...only we have a plethora of malls and Burger Kings. It's so sad really, I grew up(an I'm only 30 now!) thinking America was the greatest. Now i feel more like any day now they should just go ahead and replace the statue of liberty w' a beer gutted guy w' his pants around his knees, a remote in one hand and a burger in the other. Our laziness and apathy is our downfall, not other people.

I imagine they would do just about anything to keep us from concentrating on this issue.

More jobs are in jeopardy than most of us realize. I've heard of call centers (used, for instance, when you call your credit card company) being set up in India, and they even teach the employees how to speak with a USA Midwestern accent.

Also, doctors in foreign countries can read x-rays online and put radiologists in the US out of work.

All of this is done at wages far lower than are paid here.

No, because the Americans come up to Canada and steal all our jobs. But that is the natural order of things. So we keep pumping out comedian and new business and then selling them off to the States. LOL

I think a lot of things are changing, and since you mention China, I forecast them as being the global economic leader in the 21st century, hands down. Our economy's going to drown in debt, and China's going to be on top, pretty much...then we'll be applying for foreign aid! LOLOL

I believe that our attention IS being manipulated away from the issues!
Every time I turn on the news something else is going on!
Seems just when one thing is going on something else comes up to take our minds of what happened first!
Our media has the attention span of a small child!!!

The way things are going we will one day be doing the things they dont want to do. Just think about it a minute.....they take over and we become the immigrants.........unless our government takes control, but it will be hard because there are millions here already.

Gain as much technical knowledge and expertise in your field as you can. It makes you much more difficult to replace for your employer and makes you more "outsource-resistant." Pay attention to economic evolution and retrain or re-educate yourself when necessary. Ex. - Factory jobs are going to other countries so get off your butt and retrain for something else.

Let's see...the Bush adminstration loves to brag that the unemployment rate is so low, around 4.7%. If half the US population is of working age, that's 4.7% of 300 million, or 6.75 million people out of work. Since they claim there are 12 million illegal immigrants, if they all left TODAY there would still be 5.25 million jobs un-filled that illegal immigrants used to have...
So no, they're not stealing our jobs.
