many of the serial killers of our time were aithiest
and if we were all athiests we'd at least have a code of ethics correct?

Only so much as his imagination is capable of perceiving.
I know that there are some men that are more good than others, so its hard to generalize.
Edit: I hate to point it out, but alot of the serial killers I have studied were Christians. They were acting out repressed fantasys. Look into it. (I'm not chiding, I'm serious.)

Mankind is capable of many great things. There are more good than bad but to look at the news one would never know it. There are good atheist too. If one has a good heart then one can do wonders.

Mankind is capable of much goodness. We just all have to agree and work together. We could end the wars and protect this planet if we had the desire. My government is just as guilty of causing war, and harmng this planet. It breaks my heart.

Mankind as a whole is capable of as much good as we are forced to do. Individuals are capable of as much good as we are allowed to do. Is there anything more good than man? Everything is more good than man. Is there anything more evil than man?

I figure most anything is more good than man.
Though I would say that we probably have enough good in us to completely destroy ourselves before we are in danger of contaminating the rest of the universe.

Mankind is all there is. We are the ultimate and only good or evil.
The possibilities are endless. The likelihood isn't nearly as rosy.
