Under the bed, in the closet behind some hanging shirts, under the dresser, behind the couch, on top of the cabinets.

Well I have two cats.
Sylvester: Likes to hide in the pantry, there is no knob on it so he can get the door opened easily and likes to lay on top of the cans, I guess it is cool and dark and quiet, so to him great place to sleep undisturbed until I need some peas or something.
Sugar: Her best escape place from Sylvester and hiding spot has always been the opening for the pedal in the organ in my livingroom. My daughter doesn't use it much anymore.
However, sugar has gained quite a bit of weight since she has been spayed and will not fit there anymore. So.....newest place is spot where my modem sits for my computer, like Sylvester it is quiet and dark but she prefers warm places to cool ones and I think she likes the warmth of my modem.
She also likes to attack my toes from time to time when I forget she is down there.
They have many other places they like to hide but if I can't seem to find em I look in these places and that is usually where I find em.

I loved to read all these responses. I have six cats and have lived in my three-bedroom house for twelve years. I mean it's not Windsor Castle. My cats can still find "secret" places to hide when I am looking for one of them

My cat likes to hide in my bathroom. Sometimes he hides in a stinky cupboard to get away from the vacuum. My friend's cat hides in her dresser drawers.... She pulls them open herself.

Under those decorative round tables with the long table cloth, under the bed, in the shower, and inside the box spring.

He has a couple of places... under the bed, in the bathtub, behind corners, and in boxes. He loves to jump out in front of me, trying to scare me, and then run away, it is really funny.
