Manhole covers must be a minimum of 22 in (56 cm) in diameter, but can be as much as 60 in (1.5 m) in diameter. Without knowing the specific diameter, we won't be able to give you the circumference.

If you do have a diameter, though, the circumference is:
C = pi * diameter.

Using the numbers above, the circumference of a manhole cover will be between 69 inches and 189 inches.

Typical manhole covers are going to be 24-inch, 30-inch, and 36-inch diameter. You can work out the circumference as described above.

However, those diameters are only nominal sizes. The sizes are the clear opening for the manhole. To get the actual diameter of the manhole cover itself, add about 2 inches.
