Generally speaking....if you had to choose between a guy who was sweet, caring, treated you well, good looking and chilvarous but was quiet and boring OR a guy who was hot, cocky, not chilvarous, treated you bad sometimes, but outgoing and funny...which would you choose and why?
Not that I'm in this situation but a conversation with a friend made me curious about other womens opionions on this subject.

Why do guys keep asking this question when the answer is perfectly obvious??
Any self-respecting woman would tell the cocky jerk to take a hike..
...then tell the sweet but boring guy that she deeply appreciates his interest but she respects him enough to be honest and that she just doesn't feel that it's going to work out... (because if he bores her, she shouldn't choose him either)
... then she goes out for margaritas with the girls!!
better to be happy and single than in an unfulfilling or abusive relationship! ;)

That is a really hard question. Probably the boring, good-looking, sweet guy.... YEAH, DEFINITELY! That seems to be more my taste... well minus the boring part. But that is what friends are for right?... I can't stand cocky dudes, but I will go for one that is smokin HOT!and funny... but i dont like being treated bady... so definitely the boring...

Id choose the sweet guy, he seems like he cares,its not all about looks,People can be great in personality wise,whats the point going out with someone whos hot, but cold in the inside??

Good question. The old me would definitely have gone w/ the not-so-sweet guy. It took a long time to realize how dumb it was to enjoy being treated badly.
Have been married to the "sweet" one for 11 years now, & no regrets!

If he was good looking and careing, ok, I could just learn to ignore the boreing parts! :-)
Hot is ok, cocky is NOT!! Neither is being treated bad.
Anyone who has been in a deadly, abusive relationship, would choose the boreing guy, I bet!!

i think i wud choose the first. he's caring and treats one well i think those r important anyday anytime even after long years.hot, cocky now how long will that las for? at least if u r more outgoing one cud influence the borin guy to be more fun.

Its a no brainer for me....the first....why? because when push comes to shove that is the type of guy that will be by your side and the latter will disappear....trust me I am talking from experience having dated both types.....I believe only massacistic women would go for the second type who would disrespect her and treat her second wipe

I would choose neither. Why settle for someone who is not right for you? Are we as women still in the mind set that we MUST have a man, any man to be happy? Patience is a virtue.
