Especially if he has a hard time opening up (emotionally)? How long will it take for him to trust me?

Be yourself so he can decided if he feels safe opening up to you period. Prove it through your actions. It takes a certain amount of time depending on how many people f***ed him over in the past. Be ready to be persistent and determined.

It all depends on the guy. Some guys are very trusting and in order for them to not trust you, you have to do things that make them not trust you.

Some guys are the opposite. They give you no trust until you earn it. By just being yourself, being there for them and supporting them, they will slowly start to trust you.

It might take a while, but dont worry about it. Just be natural and dont try to do things to make him trust you quicker, it wont work.

You will get there one day, and the more you learn about eachother, the better the relationship will be in the longrun.

It depends on him he might take some time but if you open up to him and prove there is no reason for him not to trust you the time will come around were he will open up who knows how long it could take

Show him he can trust you, by the little ways that you follow through on things. You can also show him that he can trust you by opening up emotionally to him as well. If he knows you trust him, it might open him up a little more to be more trusting towards you.

All you can do is be there with him and for him (give lots of compliments, etc. Sappy, but do it anyway, guys do love it even if they won't admit to it...lol) and sooner or later you'll have earned his trust. But in no way give up friends / family for him. He'll then have control of you, and you don't need nor want that to happen.

trust is not earned its given until you do something to screw it up...then in that case its earned.

just show him he's the only one, do thoughtful things for him, open up to him about things (emotionally) as for how long..that's up to him.

i don't the person but just be there for him be a Friend, someone for him to lean on and in time if and when he feels comfortable he will open up but whatever you do don't push him or you will lose him just be a buddy and have fun and whatever you do never lie to him be up front about everything..even it seems small and stupid just let him know let him feel important ask his opinion and things will start falling into place

Been there. Still am there, actually.

You have to be open & honest with him. You have to let him know how you feel, and if something is bothering you - tell him upfront about it. Communicate with him. And if he just wants to sit in silence - do it. but hold his hand or sit close to him. Always let him know that you are there..

He will open up more eventually, you just have to be patient.

Guys are like that, it just take time. Be yourself and he would see what a great person that you are. I was in a relationship like yours and I can understand what you are going throught. Just wait it out if he is worth waiting for. Good Luck!
