My fiancee is kind of hairy. It bothers me...I love him and I can accept him as is, and I find him attractive, etc, but I would find him even more attractive with a little shaving....How should I tell him I want him to without sounding mean or hurtful? Sometimes he can be a bit insecure of his looks and I do not want to lessen his confidence in any way.

Suggest intimately that you shave each other as something different to try... it might work.

Start a conversation on things that turn you on. Then tell him how hot you would be he is shaved all the hair off his (where ever you want him to shave). I dont know if you personally shave most of the hair on your body, but maybe say I'll shave mine if you shave yours.

Try to make it fun and like a sexual adventure.

There is no way to soften what you are going to tell him. And when you do, he's going to automatically be hurt and more insecure. Best thing is to just accept his hairy-self but more than that, keep mouth closed about it.

have a shaving party in the shower.... sounds kind of weird, but get in the shower one day with him, start showering, and just start shaving yourself and playfully suggest he tries it.... keep it playful and unthreatening, tell him you're curious to know how it'd look... chances are, if you're naked, wet, and shaving/touching yourself, he'll do whatever you want.... good luck... or...... perhaps one day just start choking uncontrollably and convincingly on his hair, appologize for coughing and ruining the mood.... tell him you don't think you can continue and just cuddle..... blue balls tend to be a very good self-motivator for a guy to shave...... now, don't get me wrong, I believe communication should always be tried first, but I understand you not wanting to lesson his confidence and applaud you in that... best of luck

Maybe you could suggest it to him, asking "have you ever thought what it might feel like with the hair removed from your chest?" This way, you aren't telling him you want it to gone. And maybe go on to say you'd be willing to help him with it if he sounds interested in it.

just ask him if he ever thought about shaving his " whatever". Then just mention you think it'd be a good look for him and tell him he should give it a try.

conduct an experiment... you shave all over and see what he looks like that way too...
