I took it for a short time....for depression. I had headaches, and gained weight. Also, when I stopped taking it...my hearing kept going in and out. I kept hearing this zzip..zzzip...I could actually feel a strange vibration going thru my head...and that's when I figured out it was my hearing....fading in and out. Really weird. And they say it is not habit forming....but, then they say "well, you can't just stop taking it..you have to be weaned off of it." If that's not an addiction....then explain that one to me!! I ended up just going to a counselor and now I am doing great....I just had to have someone not involved with my life to help me figure things out.

Hi,I took zoloft for about a year at the V.A. hospital started out at 50mg up to 200mg daily.It made me feel strange.I could'nt sleep or have sex,they switched me to xanax instead.I was being treated for anxiety and Bi polar disorder.I dont believe I had very many side effects but the sex thing was enough,now I take Depekote and Zyprexa,and xanax they work fine.

I take Zoloft and I love it. It has helped me with mood swings and controlling my temper

I took it and I hated it. It made me hate my life even more, gave me stomach aches and dry mouth. It didn't help me because I wasn't on it long enough. It was replaced by Paxil wich was even worse. Then by something else, I don't remember. Then it was decided that I'll just have to deal with it without medication.

I took it for depression and anxiety...I have PTSD...it helped because I feel better staying home, still have trouble going anywhere. No side effects at all.

I took for post pardum depression and hated it. It made me tired all the time.
