it wouldnt be because they took drugs and therapies prescribed by thier doctors would it?why the confusion here?

Religious people believe that everything ultimately emanates from God...even the doctors and the drugs etc.

Well - my religion (Religious Science) believes that God is everything and everything is God. So - you're right - it IS the incredible drugs -and the wonderful doctors - and those things are part of God. Simple.

It's out of fear of death. They'd rather be 'on the safe side' than piss off a superior being that might allegedly make them ill again.

cause people believe what they WANT to. its equal to prayer helping. prayer is nothing but putting hope on a random chance of probabilities.
