Deep down, everyone has a survival trait, whether you believe in creationism or evolution. Everyone wants to preserve the CONTINUITY OF THOUGHT and suffer the least possible. Now What is described as soul saving, whether through JHChrist or any other means relates to the least describable item. It doesn´t state exactly what´ll be the reward or how it´ll be delivered. Heaven is more nebulous that a bad real estate folder showing impressive construction on an empty lot. The soul cannot be described by two different people the same way. I repeat:
What if I want to survive death the way I am, just minus the body? What chaos will I unleash on heaven if my instincts are intact?
Don´t quote empty bible verse, don´t parrot: use your brain, thank you.

So you say: Thanks, that really answers the question...

You have to will it to happen, and if you have the will for that why go to heaven? Who knows what else is out there.

Tesseract,
I can think just fine. I agree that the survival trait of maintaining a community of thought is one reason why many post here, and do other things in other places. And the Pleasure Principle works into that scheme.

Your next few statements I disagree with:
"Now What is described as soul saving, whether through JHChrist or any other means relates to the least describable item."
Maybe you say that because you haven't heard of the sacrifice, and the Power in the Word. And the propitiation, and expiation that Jesus provided? You perhaps haven't heard of the cleansing of the Spirit. And the holiness; or dedication, that God has to those that are His? I call those things very describable.

"It doesn´t state exactly what´ll be the reward or how it´ll be delivered."
I think that it does. The reward amongst other things is Eternal Life. I guess you've not heard that before. And that we have been delivered, and that's all about trusting His promises. It was made so many years ago already. So no sweat, isn't that so. We are only waitng for our end that we may meet with Him. And that's when we will meet Him. So there is nothing so far that seems so nebulous, you either believe it, or you don't believe it.

Just showing you that I can think too.

"The soul cannot be described by two different people the same way."
Yes, it can. I've heard it the way I describe it from others that I have never told. The definition of the soul is something that can be looked up. If more than one person looks it up, they can adopt the definition from the same source, and describe it as such. So I don't really see eye to eye with you on this.

"What if I want to survive death the way I am, just minus the body? What chaos will I unleash on heaven if my instincts are intact?"
I would think none at all. People have been dying all this time, and God still is able to handle things just fine. I guess my question to you might be:
What kind of thing do you think you will be that would unleash any kind of chaos?

"Don´t quote empty bible verse, don´t parrot: use your brain, thank you."
You're welcome.

No one knows for sure what survives death, so, perhaps you will survive 'just the way you are minus a body'... although I would hope we will all have a new perspective with no bodies, perhaps some addittional wisdom about 'the way things are'. I don't understand why this would create Chaos. By the way, there is certainly more than one definition of 'soul saving' ...do you assume your soul is somehow lost right now?

Yes, everyone has a survival trait. But survival according to evolution is survival of the body and propagation of the species--not the preservation of continuity of thought.

When you say that "everyone" wants to preserve the continuity of thought, you are wrong. When you say that "everyone" wants to suffer the least possible, you are also wrong.

What you don't know--that is, the secret you are missing out on, due to your intellectual pride--is that the faithful are willing and grateful to suffer on account of the work of God and the coming of his kingdom. People who fear suffering are people who believe this world is the only world there is. People who are able to touch eternity--which is given to the faithful through God's grace--do not fear this world nor any suffering it may bring.

Salvation through Jesus Christ does state the reward, exactly, and does include "notice" of its method of delivery. The reward is salvation from our own impotence, pride, self-adulating misery, and sin...through no merit of our own and through but one act of our own, which is acceptance of Jesus after knowing who we are (sinners who cannot save ourselves, no matter how much we would wish to the contrary). The method of delivery--or deliverance--is the gift of the Holy Spirit, who provides instruction, guidance, insight, and the glimpses into eternity I previously mentioned.

But those who have not sought the gift can in no way understand any of this. That is, if you have no sought the keys to the kingdom, you haven't been given them.

You can believe that heaven is more nebulous than a bad real-estate folder, but this is the failure of your imagination. You are trying to conjure up a realm of which you cannot conceive, having been denied the keys to the kingdom. And you have been denied because you have denied yourself.

If you want to survive death the way you are, minus your body, then you have what is called an impotent wish. You will not survive death the way you are minus your body and be able to unleash chaos on heaven. You will be defeated by God. No one is permitted entry into heaven who has not sought heaven. And one cannot seek heaven without seeking God. If one seeks oneself, one will find oneself and oneself only. And you--your self--is no match for God. Not even a match for God's enemy, for that matter.

You might have something here. You can start your own religion and make millions!

Seriously, you might want to develop your idea if you have not yet. I think you have a good base idea.

I wish I could give you some more thoughts to help you out.
