The reason I do believe in God is
1. Common Sense well someone had to make this planet it sure wasn't evolution.
2. Logic God gave me the wisdom of real logic not the logic you hear from Atheists.
3. The Rainbow really the rainbow may look "stupid" but God made it to tell us that he won't make a flood again (that'll destroy everyone on Earth)
4. The term woman as you know Adam named Eve "woman" before he named her Eve.
5. Prayrer actually works for me becuase I really mean it.

Personally, I've never seen evidence that there is a God, at least not like the one described by many religions. I think that believing something on faith alone without the need for logic or evidence is irrational, and it's also a symptom of many psychological disorders. Who created the world? I can honestly say that I don't know and I have no way of knowing. You can believe all you want, but belief is only necessary in the absence of knowledge. I don't think that the answer to who created the world matters all that much, as it would not change the current state of the world.

As a non-Christian married in to a family of Christian ministers, I have found it hard to accept Christianity and the holy Trinity having never been raised in the church. I grew up with an ultra-conservative father and a free thinking mom that valued hard work and family as their lives. God was just not a main focus in our lives and that an afterlife was unheard of (you died and that was it).
Don't get me wrong, I do believe in God. But, the thing that bothers me the most about accepting God/Christ in to my life is that I have learned that only those that have been saved are the ones that will have eternal life. I cannot accept such a concrete idea, if, this eliminates my parents (who are deceased) and my family from it. So, that is why I will continue to study and learn about God, but, I will always remain with many questions and doubts.

Because I see no evidence that a god exists. No talking snakes, no bushes that burn without damage, no miracles, no hovering angels or saints. The bible has lots of conflicting or inconsistent stories, and there's no way to test the beliefs or practices to prove them true.
I was raised catholic, but as I studied science and mythology, I came to realize that christianity is just another way for primitive people to try to explain things they didn't understand. I decided to live my life as a rational being, rather than depend on teachings that can't be substantiated.

Belief in a deity is irrational. By the way I believe in God but that doesn't stop me from knowing that it is irrational. I just choose to ignore it.

In as much as I was not around to see how everything came into being (and neither were you),I say, "I don't know ..... YET!" To assume that some god, my less than intellectual ancestors made up, instantaneously farted the universe into being, is absurd

I believe in God. God is more real to me than myself, or anyone that I know.
I see God everytime I look out the window or look into my daughter's eyes. Anytime I see anything beautiful, anything that I love, I see God.
