And if you can answer that one, how about for a ten-year-old boy, and a six-year-old girl?

It depends on the child, and school schedules, some kids require more sleep than others, one of my seven didn't sleep more than 3 hours no matter what we did..she was/is an excellent student, and well behaved, while a son could sleep 12 hours and wake up grumpy and need a rest mid day at 14!!
take clues from your child, if they say they are not sleepy at 8pm (or whenever bedtime is) say..okay, you can stay up but you have to go in your room and read until you are tired..this works for any child that can read or color in coloring books. Then gage the behavior the next day, if they are cranky, tell them that their body needs more sleep than it got the night before so bedtime/lights out will be at _o'clock. If they handled the day well, let them set their own sleep patterns, for as long as the behavior is okay.
My daughter is 22 and still only sleeps a few hours a night, she cuddles on a chair and reads for at least 2 hours before turning in, and is up before sunrise..is a straight a student, and very active in sports..my son still needs 12 good hours on weekends, and at LEAST 9 during the week or he is a wreck..and it looks like his son is following in his footsteps!

I feel that sleep times should be altered according to age.
I only have a 7 mos old daughter, but already she goes to bed between 7 and 7:30. If she didn't nap, sometimes 6 or 6:30 and she sleeps an average of 12 hrs!! how'd i get so lucky!! LOL.

As they get older, let them stay up a little later, maybe increments of 30 mins. But they need to know they have more responsibility for still getting themselves up and to school on time.

the 11 and 10 yr olds are about the same: maybe 9:30. That will also give them some breathing time to do boy things with out the sister getting in "their way". BOys will be boys.
But the 6 yrs old should probably hit the sack by 9.
And always be lenient on the bed time during the week end.

Well if they are all in school. The 6 year old should be in bed by.. 8:00, 8:30 at the latest and the other two, about 9 or 9:30. But you're the parent so it;s really up to you.

I put my 6 year old in bed at 8:30. He is then normally asleep by 9. As far as the 10 & 11 year olds, I would say 9:30. 10 at the latest.

Ask your doctor, but you should put the 11 and 10 year olds to bed at 8:30 and the 6 year old at 8:00. Trust me. They won't be brat after school and they will do better in school, and in the mornings when you wake them up. And most importantly, stick to the times every single night. Children that age require about 10-12 hours sleep.

9 o'clock for the ten and eleven year olds on school nights. On the weekends an hour later.
A six year old probably should be in bed by eight on school nights and an hour later on weekends.

11 is 9 or 930
10 is 8 or 830
6 is no later than the 10 year old. Preferable before

It all depends on what time they need to get up in the morning. My kids need to get up latest by 7 AM. The 8 year old goes to bed at 9PM and the 12 year old by 10PM.

I would say 8-8:30 for the 6 year old and 9PM for the 10 year old.

When I was eleven, my bedtime was 10:00, but it really depends on what time your kids have to get up in the morning. Also consider that making your kids go to bed when they aren't tired doesn't do any good.

By twelve, I had no bedtime. I was mostly responsible for getting out of bed in the morning.
