If you believe in Love at First Sight….?

Shouldn't you be okay with having sex on the first date.

I have said time and time again that love is something that builds over time. But a lot of people tell me that sometimes with love “you just know.” Okay, if that is true why don’t more of these people sleep with their love at first sight people when they first meet them. What reason are they waiting for if they already know they are in love?

I think your dead on with that reasoning. I also think that it really comes down to a very loose definition of the word love by too many people. I do believe in getting a really good feeling about someone at first sight, the whole butterflies in the stomach attraction, but that is all that it is. Attraction and love are two entirely different things, some people just haven't figured out how to really distinguish between the two yet. Love is something that needs a little time. I wish we didn't have so many "adults" running around yelling their "in love' CONSTANTLY! It's a very romantic notion, but not reality....a divorce rate that's through the roof, single parents, mixed families and all the joy that all of that brings is however. I am in love with my boyfriend, we have been together for 7 years and now that i am older and wiser i look back and see what was just an attraction really that grew slowly into a real love.

There's no such thing as love at first sight. You can't really love someone until you have a deep desire to see and help them succeed at everything they do in life. You almost feel like the person is an extension of you. What you're talking about is called lust at first sight. If they wait before having sex, they're just doing what they were taught to do. Also, maybe they want to make sure the feelings are mutual before they make that move.

I personally don't believe in love at first sight. When I hear people say that they "just knew" this was the right person, I take that to mean they were the right person to spend energy getting to know. I don't call that love. You don't have sex with your "love at first sight" people because love is an emotion and sex is physical. You don't combine the two unless you know it's right and that takes times.

Just because people believe in love at first sight doesn't mean sleep around. It doesn't mean that they knew they loved the other person at first sight. My grandmother told her sister, the day she met my grandfather, that he would be the man she married. They got married and lived happily until he died approximately 40 years later. I'm not totally against sex on the first date. I won't say I haven't done it before. It's just when you do have sex on the first date it's hard to take each other seriously. Each person is wondering the entire time how often the other does that.

Well for starters having sex on the frist night is a bit much , for those who know that they are in love with a person on sight they want to respect them more VS going all the way that 's why they call it love at first sight !!

Because in a situation like that, even though they know they love eacother- which it does happen by the way. They want that to be just as special as a long term couple thats waited. Everything is more special if you wait. Just because I have fallen in love at first sight does not mean I have to give that away so freely.

I also was a person like u love is something that bulids over time. I never believed in love right away. I thought people were lieing or just crazy. But happen to me this year. I been with my boyfriend for a month and I just know I love him deeply and he loves me the same. We both say it how did this happen so fast we say it just did. U asked the question why people wait out of respect but they both know they will sleep with one other. RESPECT RESPECT RESPECT for the lady part.

I fell in love with my husband at first sight. He looked perfect in every way to me. We played pool the night we met and when he accidentally brushed my leg getting up to take his shot, it was like liquid fire going up my leg where he had barely grazed me. I was with a friend that night and the three of us hung out for hours. When my girlfriend wanted to leave (I was her ride), I actually cried because I had to leave him for the night. We saw each other every day after that. We had sex the second night we met. He proposed to me a week later. We were married in 9 months and apart from each other 2 days in 5 1/2 years of marriage. He was killed in a hunting accident. I have never felt anything like it since. Yes, I believe in Love at first sight. But it is rare. If I never feel that way again about another human being, I still consider myself one of the lucky ones. I wouldn't trade that feeling for anything.

That does not mean that you have to sleep with every guy or girl you meet and you think that you are in love. What would happen if that person tells you that every boy or girl that they met they slept with them on the first date. You would not even think much of her or him. Now you need to be truthful to yourself. It's just lust and when the relationship goes wrong you will throw in their face, I should have known that you were not the one because you gave it up on the first date!

with love at first sight it's like you know this is the person you've been waiting for ,but yet not ruining the moment with going to bed at the first date . Yet you know this is the one ,but still want to get to know them
