When I became a Christian, my life didn't "become better." I was persecuted in college for my beliefs (it was a Catholic university that looked down on Christians). I experienced various pains and trials that I know had something to do with my faith. My faith in Jesus didn't make my life better. But IT MADE LIFE WORTH LIVING. In Jesus there is joy, comfort and peace.

When I lost 2 family members to cancer recently, I would gone through depression and hopelessness, were it not for my faith. Jesus gave me life when He died for my sins. And He gave me hope when He rose from the grave and conquered death.

This life will throw all kinds of pain and trials your way, whether you're a believer or not. The only difference is that for Christians, the One we put our trust and faith on is Faithful. He is an ever-present help in times of trouble and knows what I need. He can change the situation or He can carry me through it.

Get to know Jesus.

Don't hate your life. Everybody has their moments of feeling down and depressed. You need to find ways to get your mind thinking about new things, and stop dwelling on things that make your life "bad." For some people, the answer may be Jesus. For others, it may be friends, family, starting a new hobby, meeting new people... etc. I recently started working out, and it honestly has changed my overall mood. I think setting a goal and working to achieve it is a great way to perk yourself up.
I never am any good at advice when it comes to things like this, but just know your not alone in this world, and if you want to be happier you have the power to change that! I believe in you!

He does make everything better because He is willing to forgive your past, completely!!!! And that makes everything better automatically. HERE ARE THE STEPS

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10

iF YOU HAVE DONE THIS LAST THING, GO TO A BIBLE BELIEVING CHURCH AND REQUEST BAPTISM.
YOU WILL HAVE MADE YOUR CONFESSION BEFORE A NUMBER OF PEOPLE AND THEY WILL REJOICE WITH YOU AS WELL AS THE ANGELS IN HEAVEN. THE BIBLE SAYS SO.

Sad Girl. there are no steps believing and faith are the only thing you need. I think at sometime in everyone's life they reach a cross road. But it is not the end. Every hardship, every mistake, every good thing, is leading us a step closer to who we are meant to be. I is not always a bed of roses being a child of God but every good thing has to be worked for,and the joy will come from service in your community, church and to all humans.

I have a peace and comfort that I never knew before my relationship with Jesus Christ.

Daily, I listen to praise and worship music, I read the Bible and I pray without ceasing.

God is faithful. If you seek Him earnestly with all of your heart...you will find Him. He is not hidden, He is waiting patiently for you.

If there are 100 steps between you and God, He will take 99 of them...you must take the last one.

He is a gentleman and will wait for you.

God may be telling you ways to fix whatever is wrong in your life, happiness is found in oneself, may be that the right choices weren't always made, but God has always been there for you and will always be there for you. If God brings you to it, he will bring you through it. If God didn't bring you to these things, then you have to be strong and remember that you will have a blessing for you when all is said and done.

Let me tell you a little store about me. First I would say I was a lone wolf, Full of hate and angry. I would fight everyone who I disagreed with in the littlest bit. One day I got in a fight that end with me being in Jail. A friend of mine invited me to church with him. After 4 weeks of going I asked JESUS in to my life. Now I, as my friends call me, a big teddy bear. Do not get me wrong I do still get angry but it does not lead to violents.

As to getting JESUS in you life. Check out this website http://www.bethlehemchurch.org/resources/a_relationship_with_god.php
