You shouldn't skip school. Good for your dad for making you go. Education is important.

I had a major skipping habit in HS. I used to go to my friend's house before school, hotbox in the bathroom and then decide if we felt like going. Sometimes we stayed in and sometimes we showed up fried. If we showed up, we'd go smoke up again at lunch time. One time, I screwed up so big while skipping, I was too scared to face my parents for a week. Just took off couch surfing. I'm surprised I actually went back. They should have just murdered me. Incredibly, I graduated and completely cleaned up my act. Still embarrassed by the amount of skipping I did and the crap I got up to.

Just be honest with him, he can either let you skip school and be aware of it (as long as it's not a regular thing) or you will end up skipping anyways. My mom was a hard *** in highschool, that was the only thing that worked. Remember "excuse" is just another word for lie, and everyone gets caught in the end.

I think you kids need to stay in school. And by the sound of it you need to do some serious thinking about things. Because if you don't have an education then no excuse in the world is gonna help you.

Stop making excuses and grow up.

I used to do this when I was younger. Take some crackers, preferably some saltines, and chew them up...then take a drink of milk...mush up all the crackers with the milk, then go to the bathroom. Spit it all in the toilet...lol...and then tell your dad you puked and aren't feeling well so you better stay home. Trust me, it'll work if you can find a way to make sure your dad either hears/sees you "puke".

Tell him your class is going on a field trip and you forgot to get him to sign the permission slip so it's too late for you to go (act really bummed out about it) and then ask him if you can just stay home because you will have nothing to do at school that day.

wait til Monday and make it a 4 day weekend. My kids are off Tues for election day. Get some dry oatmeal, hold it in your mouth until he comes to wake you up and then run in the bathroom and pretend your yacking - I saw that on a MTV show - whoever that skateboarder is that's always playing big jokes on his parents. They spit it in the kitchen floor - it really does look like yack as long as its wet

Excuses are hard to come up wiht, if your good, pretend to be sick. a killer headache with sensitivity to light and sound.. yeah.. lol i don't know really... if he's sensitive at all.. tell him you just got dumped and are too heartbroken that day, that if you saw her, youd start crying.. and be sent home anyhow.. lol i did that once on my dad, it worked.

Tell him the real reason why you don't want to go to school. If its a lame reason and he makes you go, just go. That way when you really are sick or have a legitimate reason to not go, he'll let you.
