He can eat all the solid food he wants and keep it down. But liquids do not stay down.

Is he possibly lactose intolerant? If it's just his formula that he spits up, that could be the case. Water or juice should stay down though. I think the first answer is right, maybe he has GERD.

ummmmm don't ask us ask your doctor that sounds very serious if your child cannot keep down liquids.....dehydration happens very quickly in infants

Talk to your doctor. He may suffer from GERD. Yes, babies can have acid reflux too.
