I think you need to get help. My little sister sounded alot like you when she was younger and it turns out she was bipolar. If you go to a hospital they will help you. You cant go on being so depressed its very unhealthy. Please talk to someone. Good luck.

There is no happy medicine you can take to make you feel better, you don't explain why you feel depressed, or if something happened to you to make you .feel the way you do Why did you take st. johns wart? You need to come down to earth and start analyzing your way of coping with life. Nobody should feel like the World owes them a living,There are worse things happening in the World today to make you realize that you at least you can decide to better your life when, some people cannot. If you have a mental problem please find help for it. But do not feel sorry for yourself and cry about it.

St Johns wart is good in mild cases of depression. If you have been suffering from the depreesion longer than that it is time to see a psyciatrist and a theripist. I did and although I have some tough moments my life has been happir than ever with both medication and therepy. Depression is not something you just get over-like any other diease it requires medical intervention. It does take 4-6 weks for most medications to reach their full potential. and BTW there is no such "magic pill" to make you instantly happy.-it requires at the very least a therepist and a good network of family and friends, . If you don't feel that network is available to you there are many groups of people that have group therepy for those with derpression. They may be able to help you in ways that you can work to feel happier.

My theory on depression is that is an addiction. I was once depressed and I didn't really do much in life. I realized that I was dwelling on my life and how much it sucked. You see, I was addicted to thinking that way. If you really want to get better, you need to get out more and do more. My bet is that you probably don't do much, but just sit around. Am I right? That's why you are depressed. You sit there thinking about being depressed. It's an addiction, believe me. I went through it. You can get better. Just tell yourself right now " I can get better". When your done reading this go do something. You can do it girl!!!! You got your whole life ahead of you......... Good Luck!!!!!!!!!

you need to find a good therapist and ask about group counseling also.If you have close family and friends lean on them for support, don't be embarrassed.and go outside everyday for at least 45min. Walking or exercise also helps because exercise releases endorphins that help to make us happy.also maybe a mini vacation or just a fun day out you need to plan things to look forward to.even if it's on payday I will buy me that new dress.doing things foryourself like a new haircut, new hair color, pedicure.also helps.acuppunture and massage can help also.Didn't mean to overwhelm you.lol
If you can't get in to see a therapist for awhile or you feel suicidal go to the er or clinic.

Start by stop eating junk food, sodas and any processed sugar. Excercise daily until you are tired. While depression is a medical ailment and can be severe, a lot of it has to do with what we eat and how hard we work compared to our ancestors. For many people, a bad diet and lack of excercise leads to a chemical imbalance that makes your mind as unhealthy as your body.

Have you tried diet and exercise? Eat more healthy vegtables and plenty of fruit and take vitamins. Get plenty of rest. Go for daily walks. Read inspirational stories. Get you one of those sunlight lightbulbs. Stay away from negative people. That's what I do. I fight depression but don't take chemicals for it. Talk to a good friend that will listen without judging you.
I also pray and it helps (not pushing my religion onto you).

Yes I would definately go to the ER. Depression is nothing to be played with. I've been treated for nearly 16 years for depression, even requiring hospitalization. There are all manners of clinics & counselors that can help & they can actually help make referrals for you at the hospital. Please don't continue to try to medicate yourself. I know at times it's embarrassing & you want to handle it on your own, but this is very serious. Please go to the hospital.
