Do these items meet the same specs and are just as good if they weren't fixed at the factory? is it worth the savings?

I would say if your going to buy a GPS go with a Garmin system. Also find out what needed fixed. Was it something simple like a cracked panel or was it a major electrical error. You can obviously see that there can be a big difference in quality after these two problems are fixed.

Also, check to see if the company is going to stand behind their refurbished product with a warranty of some sort.

Here is my final suggestion: If you don't have the money to buy the product you really want have some patience! Wait another month or two save up enough money and make a good buy not just a I want it now buy. Remember you get what you pay for!!

Yeah, they are restored to factory specs.. Go for it

If they include the full warranty, I don't see why not.
