I rely on eye contact and body language when in their prescence. There are certain ways that people who like you react and they show that (whether they are concious of it or not) through their body language. So..if the person you like, and you are standing in front of them chatting observe: how long do they hold an eye contact gaze? How does that gaze feel? Curious? (this you know by instinct). How is their body posture towards you, face on, sideways? Are they crossing their arms? Rubbing themselves? How close are they to you? Do they touch you (if they do, they definately like you..how much will be discovered, but touching is a key action signifying I like you.. :) ) All these things when analyzed will let you know quite clearly how they feel about you. Of course, what they say and the content of that discourse is also important... especially if they ask YOU a lot of questions about things that are you or about you. there are no "Magic" methods of knowing, everybody acts different... one guy might call you, And that could mean he was just bored, and another, might mean he likes you, but theres no way of knowing... if you really have to know, ask him, or if your too shy, just tell your friend to ask them..
