hello before created -means there was nothing in mass-God created it with age-and before that God only existed-he is eternal no beginning no end- let Jesus into your heart to save you as I did and you will get some of the grasp-
there was nothing here before it existed and no fuse to light the big bang either

> What were the conditions of the universe before the creator created the universe?
Chaos and void
> Who created the idea of the creator?
Hard to say. He seems to have been self-organizing -- "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word WAS God"
as if God were not only the Word that was spoken, but as if He spoke it Himself.
> What triggered the creator into creating the universe?
Maybe loneliness.
> What were the conditions of the universe before the big bang?
We don't know. The potential for matter, energy, and our kind of space were all compacted into a point.
> What sparked the big bang?
We don't know.
> How did life start (has it always existed)?
We don't know how it started, and no, it didn't always exist. It may have come about as a result of "competition" among self-catalyzing heteropolymers for their monomers, about four billion years ago.

Humans created the idea of a creator. Plain and simple.
The universe started out as a tiny singularity...a point in time and space where the laws of the universe as we understand them break down. Because of this, there is no way using modern mathematics to understand what happened before the Big Bang. There was no definable trigger, because a sigularity is by definition undefinable.
There were no "conditions" of the universe before the Big Bang...the Big Bang was not merely about the expansion of matter but of space and dimension itself.
As for life, you are speaking about abiogenisis. That is an entirely different field of knowledge and one well outside of my personal expertise. Look it up yourself.

The conditions of the visible universe didn't exist at all before it came into being.
Man invented the idea of deity.
Nothing triggered or prompted a deity to create -- see previous point.
The conditions of the visible universe didn't exist at all before it came into being.
The big bang is a misnomer and was discarded well over a decade ago. Current understanding is that the visible universe is the result of a particularly dramatic quantum fluctuation on the underlying substance of spacetime that lead to the inflationary era.
Life began on this planet 3.5 billion years ago via abiogenesis, a well researched field. However, since there is no meaningful distinction between physics and chemistry except scale, and no meaningful distinction between life and the chemistry it is made of, one could argue that life in the universe began at the end of the inflationary era when subluminal causality was reinstated.

The creator is the source.
Sources don't have a beginning ....they are the source.
Before the universe ....nothing.
Man doesn't really understand 'nothing'.
That's part of why the concept of zero is relatively new.
God created because he is a creator.
Do you ask a songwriter, or poet, why he created? No.
Its what he does.
The earth already exists at the start of the Bible.
At least the basic materials already exist.
I imagine I leave you with more questions than answers.

Well it sounds like you're asking for a scientific answer, and the answer is that there is none. Since the laws of physics did not exist before the universe was created, science is unable to predict what happened because science is based on the laws of physics.

something cant come from nothing so there had to be something that designed the first thing and nothing created that something. Man do i love cyclical hypocracy. Any rational thinking would show this is ludacris.
desparado, the bible never lied to us? really? You proved your own argument is false. how about Jesus stating you must believe the writings of Moses in the Pentateuch yet it has been proven Moses didnt write the pentateuch. So if the bible is the word of God and Jesus was his son this again is cyclical hypocracy. and it hasnt changed. That is factually incorrect as well. I could go on but I sure wish people would really study before stating things. I know thats a lot to ask but it sure is funny.

Wow, no one knows the answer to that. We are stuck with two propositions. Regardless of how educated or dumb you may be, there remain only two choices. Either God always existed and created this universe like the Bible says, or this universe created itself. There is no in between. I choose to believe the Bible version. The Bible has never lied to us, that we are aware of. Scientist have lied to us at least about certain parts of evolution, we know. That is a matter of public record. The story of origins in the evolutionary story is yet still 'evolving', and has changed many times. The story in the Bible is a permanent record that has never changed since it was first recorded about 3500 years ago. The creation story as recorded by Moses is the same as it was from day one. how many times has the evolution story changes. And, how many deliberate hoaxes have been uncovered in the last 25 years?

There is no answer to the question and there can never be an answer.
The beginning of time just is, this is not an evasion there truely is no answer and anyone who thinks they are giving one doesn't really understand the question.
There is no answer as to why there is something rather than nothing. It is the unsatisfactory nature of this answer that drives some people to religion, but there you go.

No one can answer these questions for you. Most of it would be a personal opinion based upon your own understanding of the universe. Go to the library and learn some facts and decide for yourself what to believe in.

To my knowledge from what the Bible teaches, the Universe was nothing but darkness. The creator a.k.a. God, was lonely, so he decided to create all of this. He wanted someone or something to have relationships with. The creaor has always just been. Faith is what helps you believe these things. It's something you can't explain, it just is.
