Let´s assume that everything the Bible says is correct for the purpose of this question:
If God instills a soul into our bodies at birth, it´s not really ours, it´s a divine entity that has any form or substance God wishes to make it. Why should we care about it it then if it is left in our care without our consent, why not letting him save what´s rightfully his at the time of his choosing. Let´s thus say that we receive a useless piece of divine equipment in consignation, unrelated to us, and it´s the only thing that we´re allowed to save at the time of death. Where is the deal in that I ask you?

Ezekiel 18:4
Behold, all souls are mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is mine: the soul who sins shall die.

--God is the one who turns on the "light" when we hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is God who draws us to Him...and there is nothing good in us to make us seek Him ( Romans 3:10)

John 6:44 "No one can come to me, unless the Father DRAWS HIM FIRST, and I will raise him up on the last day"

So when we do receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ- and believe in Him, trusting Him- we are set free from sin- and everything becomes clear- everything begins to make sense- because God sends the Holy Spirit to teach us...through reading the Bible- studying the scriptures. God GIVES us this. It is out of HIS grace and I am THANKFUL!!! I AM GLAD my soul BELONGS to GOD!

Our souls become ours at birth as life begins for us. The way I look at it, it is not so much as saving our souls, but re-gaining our souls. We lose so much of our soul when we grow as humans, but regain it as we come to the realization of God and that we need to regain our sprituality back.

We should care because God is calling everyone to share themselves with God not at death, but to give our soul - to live for God. To share our soul with God every living moment in 1000's of ways. That's what God has impressed upon me. Everyone's journey will be different

Well, the short answer is that *we* don't save our souls, God does. Which makes sense since we are His property. I don't believe He would go through the trouble of creating someone and not, ultimately, save them.

Jesus said it first. We should not worry about our own soul but worry about being good to the neighbor.

35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

He cares approximately saving your soul and somewhat every person elses, why do you think of He sent His one and merely Son to die for you and tutor you the way lots He loves you and cares on your soul, its merely that some people dont desire to place an attempt to hunt for Him in spite of everything Hes achieved and does and keeps to do for us...people have been blinded by potential of satans lies and by potential of our very own minds that attempt to comprehend an consumer-friendly gospel whilst no person will, by using fact of this he's God...All it takes is faith...Sin, and our sinful nature is what keeps us from God, that's what comes between Jesus and persons by using fact some people refuse to respond to to an superior potential to their convinience and dont desire to have faith that one and all will kneel previously the throne of God, great or small, proud, conceited, have faith or non believer, detrimental or rich, evil or good, no count who that's, we are able to all be previously God and could supply account to Him and for some it's going to be too previous due....All it takes is faith, God seems after something, he's exhibiting you the way lots He cares for you already and He has whilst He sent His one and merely Son to die for each and all people...

Its not biblical that our souls are "divine" We are immortal, yes, but NOT divine.

Rest of your question is moot, God did create us, however we have the choice to be His or not.
