If you are asking about the US, a B1/B2 non-immigrant visa allows temporary visits to the US for business or pleasure. It does not provide any legal mechanism for working in the US. In order to get a work permit, you would need a legal basis to apply for it or to be petitioned for by an employer.

That is almost impossible. The only way that you or someone else can do that is if they got their visa status changed. Remember that you need to go out of the counrty to get your status changed.... IF you are on a tourist visa. If you stay here and get that done. then it will be impossible for you to travel back to your home country. Even on visits. talk to a lawyer before taking any steps.

I was on a tourist visa, found a job, and then my employer put me through the application process to get my work permit. I worked for them for 5 months illegally but am currently legal...

But I did it backwards, I am an American that went to Mexico to work!

You have to change status first to either a work or student visa. Or marry a citizen to adjust your status to a permanent resident before you can get a work permit.

You can apply for an ajustment of status but generally it will take longer to recieve then the tourist visa is valid for so you would probably have to wait for the authorisation in your own country.

The answer is no. You can certainly become a student. If someone hires you and pays cash that is another story. We already have 11M of those. You will be one of them, should you decide to go that route.
You are better off becoming student. Get education and anyone will sponser you for the green card.

Technically, you need a different kind of visa to work here legally.
