I believe it's possible because that's how I met my husband :) ! I also have a few friends who have also met their significant others through the Internet. I believe it's a good way to meet because you really get to know a person. Whereas I'm shy and take a while to open up to someone in person, I can talk more freely and answer questions this way.

I know it is. I feel in love with (I know it seems bad but I'll explain) my ex on line. We were together for 5 years. We are still very close and good friends, saw him last week for dinner.
The net gives you something that in person doesnt. For some reason you can be more open and really talk and communicate. It is the best. Funny thing is we used to talk on line and then when we got together after a while we stopped really talking. Our communication went down. But I still love him, he is a wonderful person. I think that too is another thing, you get to love a person not a body or looks or whatever they have. I would do it again if I were single. Good luck to you!
(PS We broke it off because he was 14 yrs older than me and after 5 yrs I realized he had gone through parts of life I wanted to experience, that he no longer wanted too.)

It could be very possible. I am sure it has happened before. The internet has given us so much power that we could even find our potential life long mate when in the past I believe alot of people went without finding that one true someone and ended up flailing from relationship to relationship. Am I wrong?

love? no! you can create a fantasy character on the internet and say whatever you want someone to believe.
love is something that grows with honesty and many other factors that you can never get from the internet. humans, like most animals, must have conntact with their perspective mate. visual, touch, and just watching each other is essential. maybe a friendship can happen but not love.

Sometimes people tell you what you want to hear and until you meet them face to face, it is impossible to know if there will be a connection. Take it from one who has experienced what you are talking about. The physical is important and even if they send a picture, how do you know that is who you are talking to?

Just remember, until you look him in the eye, you really haven't met him. It doesn't matter how long you've talked on the internet.

I don't know about the love thing..but I do know that it's exciting...it takes you away from the same ole same ole...but it makes me wonder how many other people they are saying the same things to, this is all new to me, but I hope it makes you feel as good as it does me..my head is in the clouds anymore, and I like it like that!
