Hi,
I am in the process of having my teeth whitened at dentist and cost me £300. Have had the gum shield impressions and going back next week for kit and instructions.

I looked into laser whitening but decided to go for gum shield method in the end because you have gum shield to use whenever I like in the future instead of having to go ever 3/4 years for laser again.

Have a look at this web site for strawberry method it might do the trick??

TEETH HAVE TO PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED BEFORE THEY ARE WHITENED. WHY? BECAUSE THE SURFACE HAS TO BE CLEAN TO ACCEPT THE BLEACHING TECHNIQUE USED. THERE ARE VARIOUS WAYS TO WHITEN TEETH. SOME OF THESE ARE 1 DAY AT THE DENTAL OFFICE. OTHER METHODS ARE DONE BY THE PATIENT AT HOME. COSTS VARY FROM DENTIST TO DENTIST. SOME OTC METHODS ARE ADEQUATE FOR SOME, AND THESE ARE THE LEAST COSTLY.

My dentist would charge me £270.00 to whiten my teeth . Hope this helps i cant see any other dentist charging much more. You might be lucky and get it cheaper. I was advised not to go near the do it yourself kits as these strip the enamel from your teeth so youd be doing it all the time!

please try crest white strips first, they really work the same as anything your dentist would do (leave them on a little longer)... plus you may save yourself a lot of money! they are the only whitening method i'll use, and i've only had to use it once! just use sensodyne and ACT flouride rinse 6 weeks prior to bleaching.

PS- i've spoken to a ton of dentists who have been to these whitening seminars... those blue lights? crap. its just something else to take your money. try the white strips before you do anything ok? everything else is going to cost you hundreds of dollars, this will only cost you $14-24.

Depending on the location of your dentist, generally about $300-550 for the advanced treatment with the UV light. (blue light)

I was going to do that but it cost to much. so I got the whiten tooth paste and the whitening mouth wash. and in a week they were so much whiter.
