I had a root canal done and it was really painful for a week. Most teeth have 2 or 3 roots but mine had 4 and the dentist missed one. I nearly overdosed on paracetomol (lucky I threw up and came out in a rash instead). When I went back a week later to have the proper filling done he said 'oh dear- I seem to have missed one - i bet that hurt!' I nearly hit him!!

he is still my dentist though!!

i had a root canal from a root canal specialist cause it was really bad. I had to get a shot not in the cheek or the gums but in the roof of my mouth. i was 16 tears old when that happened. i took about 8 or 9 xrays with this paper in my mouth that scratched up the rest of my gums. oh i forgot he did the procedure wrong and i had to end up getting it pulled 2 days later. what a bastard

A wisdom tooth pulled out after the anesthetic wore out. It was too deeply imbeded, the dentist couldn't pull it, the anesthesia wore out, I was fed up with the whole thing so I told her to go ahead regardless of the pain. Luckily, wisdom teeth don't grw back so I'll never have to gone through it again.

Having braces for 2-1/2 years was quite painful for several days every month after I got them tightened.

i had a tooth pulled a couple years ago. they didnt put me to sleep, they just numbed my mouth. unfortunately, it wasnt numb enough and i could feel it! it hurt really bad. so the dentist numbed my mouth more, but it didnt really work. i could feel him with his pliars on my tooth, pulling it and twisting it. i would never do it again unless i was put under anestheics!

Root canal and I hope I never have to have it again, but if you have to have one, you have to have one, so I guess I would, but VERY RELUCTANTLY!! Yikes.
