Yes. Urine produced by a healthy person (i.e. no infections) is perfectly safe to drink because it has passed through one of the best filters known... the human kidney.

Urine is entirely sterile under most circumstances and is actually used by many tribal peoples to wash wounds because it is cleaner than their drinking water.

The main problems with drinking your urine in the desert would be:-
1. Your urine production would rapidly reduce as you became dehydrated... so pretty soon you wouldn't have much to drink.

2. As you become more dehydrated your urine would become more concentrated (as indicated by a dark yellow colour). This means it contains more salts which may have the unfortunate side-effect of making you throw up. Obviously throwing up is not a good idea as you would lose even more precious moisture that way.

If you have some water with you I would advise drinking it little and often so you retain most of it inside you rather than peeing it out. When you do pee for the first day or two pee into the remaining water in your water bottle to dilute the urine and supplement your water supply. If you can still pee after a day or two my guess is that your urine will be so concentrated with salts that it will just make you more thirsty or throw up so it would be a waste of time drinking it.
