I am an engineering major, and this girl is a cheerleader for the school's team. Obviously I am not famous or big muscular guy. She is short but I believe knows a lot of sporty guys, what are my chances of getting her as a mate,girlfriend, etc....?
I don't want to make a move just to get a "no" answer, so please feel free to forward your suggestions.

Be as friendly as you can with her...she will get your point when she asks herself "hmm...why is he so friendly?" and this way you can always have "an excuse" if you see a detail that will make you think she'll reject you...."hey,i was just being friendly"..and girls usually like friendly boys,so she won't reject you:)...just ask her how her day was...act interested in what she does,get a detail and the next day you ask her again"hey,how about that thing you were wondering yesterday?"..and be kind when you leave..say"Have a nice day..or take care"...

Your chances are slim unless you make an effort to say "Hi" to her. Start casually talking to her and show her that you're a nice guy and you're worth her time. Just make sure you give her her space. If you start stalking, she'll run. Good Luck!
