Does Islam permit a person to will that his organ(s) be used through transplantation to others after his death? Is it permissable to a Muslim to use organs donated by others to save his own life or in expectation of improving his own chances of survival or improve his health and well being? Please provide references from the Quran or from authentic (Saheeh) Ahadees (Traditions of the Prophet, PBUH).

yes islam allow donation of organs but you have to complete the following three conditions.
1. The person who need an organ cannot live without the donation of organ.
2. The donor is not selling the organ for just money purpose. i.e for 1000 or 10000 dollars or whatever.
3. The donation donot cause any serious damage to the donor. for example we know one kidney is sufficient for human to survive and somone who has both kidney failed, can have kidney donated by someone. But you cannot donate your heart coz it will take the persons life.

Three conditions arise. One, it should not be damaging for the donor. If a donor dies just by donating his organ, in that case it’s Haram. Second condition is different. A person can live on one kidney. If I donate one kidney and the other person survives, both of us are saved. Then the third point is that you cannot donate your organs for the cause of money. If these conditions are fulfilled, then organ transplant can be done.

More than religion, listen to your heart, because the voice of God speaks from there and always speaks the truth..!! If you want to do a good deed like organ donation, and that too not for financial gain's, do you really need to look at books and ask experts ?

Yes, it does permit it, to save a life.

This has become one of the ways some people are making money to live on in Iran. Many poor people are selling their organs. It is not frowned on----------by the government, particularly.
