It depends on your age. If you are under the age of 18 by all means call the police immediately! If you are an adult over 18, you may be able to contact yahoo. (report abuse) and get something done about it. Do not ever share your personal info.

No it is not illegal and there is not much the police can do at this point the best thing you can do is block him and report him to yahoo.
If he tries to do more after that I would go to the police and tell them that you have blocked him and reported him but he keeps on harassing you
If anything he is going right now that is illegal is
harassing you
If you are under 18 he is a pedophile
If he gets to the point where he tries to find you he is stalking you
All serious stuff If it gets out of hand "GO TO THE POLICE" immediately.

Probably not illegal, but most likely against the policy of Yahoo IM. Contact Yahoo directly.

I would ignore it. I don't believe it is illegal,it is not threading or vulgar.
Plus they say they are 62, it could be a 13 year old. or a girl just messing with you.

Tell him that you notified the police and they are contacting yahoo as we speak. They are going to trace your emails. Say you tried to be nice but enough is enough. Any other messages that you send will be tracked down to your computer and police will be dispatched to your home. If that doesn't do it, change your I.D. on yahoo or open another account. I did.

It's not illegal to ask something, unless it violates other rules such as harrasment and phishing(getting your credit card info) but you can block him.. Go to Yahoo Messenger, click the Messenger menu tab, Click Preferences, then go to Ignore List and click add, add his username there.

No, it is not illegal for hilm to message you.
In some societies it is illegal to marry him if he is still married to his first wife.
You can choose who can message you in Yahoo 360° settings.
