Friedrich, how am I equating two different situations here? I am asking who you would rather live next to, how complicated is that?

I would say Mark Foley would be pretty creepy to have as a neighbor since I am 16, so I would say Arellano. Plus I could keep an eye on her and appeal to the government to deport her.

None of the above. Ms. Arellano, while I'm sure she's probably a halfway decent person, still violated the laws of this nation by entering the United States illegally, and as such, is subject to the penalties for the same. While I believe it should have been easier for her and other migrant workers to enter the nation legally, that was not how the law was written at that time.

Mark Foley, by contrast, is slime, though it is unknown whether or not he violated any laws. What is known is that he violated our cultural mores, which led to what would have been his forced resignation had he not jumped ship a little early.

Your question attempts to equate two very different situations using one criterion, and that's a logical fallacy.

Who is Elvira Arellano?
If all she ever did was enter the USA illegally, then I'll choose her any day over Folly.
If I had teenage sons, and I saw him approaching them, I'm afraid I would demonstrate that I am not a pacifist.

I have to agree with Angela R; having Mark Foley next door is asking for pedophile trouble. Where are all the pedophile haters on this forum today? lol, Interesting question...hmmmm.

Elvira Arellano should go to Mexico because she's a convicted felon and Mark Foley a felon to be and then send to jail, he will enjoy he's stay, there they will make sure he's happy.. Both are unmoral, no different between both of them..

Mark foley has not been convicted of anything yet, Elvira has, she is a felon, and would probably continue to commit crimes, she needs to be deported, Foley is a pervert and I would not pick him either.
