Well names that kind of sound like clarice would probably continue to get him to respond.

I have a few ideas:
Clarence
Rice
Larry
Clay
Reese
Ari (pronounces Air-y)

I would assume the "ee" sound in the end of his name the "ice" part is what catches his attention. So I would work with that.

Have fun renaming him!

How about Clarence? It is male and very close to Clarice! :-)

Edit: Wow! Look at all those people who beat me to the punch! Just a little fyi: I work at an all-kitty clinic. We see LOTS of male kitties come in with female names because the owners thought they were female at first and didn't change the name. The kitty is quite happy not knowing any better. :-)

Why not stick with Clarice. I once knew someone who thought their cat was a boy and named it Leroy. How you guys can make this mistake is beyond me but anyway, it was pretty cool to call the girl cat Leroy so why not call the male cat Clarice. Believe me, the cat really doesn't know the difference.

Cliff.

Because you could call him 'Clarice Cliff' for a bit, and then gradually shift over to just 'Cliff.' And you'd have an at least marginally interesting story behind it.

Clarence sounds good, or reese, or chase. i actually prefer chase, its an awesome name (for a cat). but maybe watch some more tv and look at another ad for a name that sticks :p good excuse to watch tv lol anyways good luck!

I'd go with Clarence. It sounds so similar, the cat probably won't notice the difference.

I don't see anything wrong with keeping it the same. I like it, male OR female. But, if you want a more masculine name for him, keep it very similiar and name him Clarence, and gradually ease him into his new name!
