I agree with you, this year i had eggs thrown at my house and car. I gave every trick or treater who knocked on my door treats and then that happens, it really annoys me. We had lots of police around but it still happened. I now dread when halloween approaches.

I do believe the little ones should have adult supervision, but even for 10+ year olds, as long as they're dressed up and are polite, we're fine with that. We had 18 kids last night, all but 2 with parents. And the parents made sure to prompt them to ask trick or treat or say thank you.

I've never had a problem with Halloween. It's a fun holiday for kids out of the year. I only have great memories of Halloween. And I'm in my 30's and still dress up!

There has been such debates on this the last few days on tv, along with the halloween should be banned etc etc .... we had alot of kids knock on the door and they were mostly polite, although one lad knocked and said trick or treat, wotcha gonna give me, and I said nothing until you say please ;o) he soon did!

Anyway I don't think trick or treating should be banned, but I think it should ONLY be allowed on haloween night between certain hours, and the kids should always have a responsible adult with them, if parents started policing the streets more teenagers and holligans will soon get sick of hanging out and causing trouble in the streets (not saying all are trouble makers!)

It was pretty awful.

I had all the lights off, but still little brats screamed through my letter box and hammered on my windows demanding sweets. I'd say I had around 8 different groups in half an hour. I didn't open the door to any of them, but they really were demanding sweets as their right. I kept hearing little girls screaming

"I'M NOT LEAVING UNTIL SHE OPENS THE DOOR & GIVES US SWEETS. SHE HAS TO. "

The main shock for me was that these noisy, nasty brats had their parents with them! I'd never seen them or the children before in the street.

Next year I'll definately work late and not be home until midnight.

My sister asks her neighbours permission for the children to trick or treat at their houses. If they agree she even buys them the sweets to give to the children so they're not out of pocket.

It has become a licence for yobbos to wreak havoc and terrorise neighbourhoods. It dhould be a fun event for everyone but it has become hell for a lot of people, especially the elderly and those with pets. Parents within communities need to come together and formulate a plan to allow the kids to enjoy themselves without becoming vandals. If they are not careful there will be a complete ban imposed on Halloween celebrations and curfews as well.

This "holiday" makes no sense at all.it has no foundation and there is nothing the little kids dressed up in with and little devils customes are gonna learn form this. The older kids use this day as an excuse to be scary to the innocent ones and to be noisy all up in your door...

Halloween isn't like it use to be. there use to be alot more kids and everyone enjoying themselves but now its bad. There's not that many trick or treaters as before and many teenagers have a tendency to go egg bombing. before it was manly just tee-peeing the houses or what not. Halloween isn't like the good ol' days any more.

Halloween isn't a bad thing , I quite enjoy dressing up with my daughter even though we stay at home. It's the minority that spoil it for the rest of us, ruining our fun! Apparently trick or treating is illegal, but they can't stop people trick or treating because so many people do it.
