The best way to train a puppy is by way of a kennel cage that can be bought at any pet store. Don't get one that is too large. When you are ready to take the puppy out to do his business, which should be from 30 min. to 45 min. after it's eaten, pick it up. Do not let it walk with you. Set it down where you want it to go and when it's done, pick it up and carry it back into the house. Then put the pup back in the cage for a few minutes and let it back out to play with you. Continue to do this everyday for two weeks. Certainly if it's caged during the day while you work, pick it up out of the cage immediately when you get home and follow the steps I've given you. If you are consistent on the steps that I've given you, it should only take two weeks to housetrain.
Some people think that the kennel cages are cruel and it is just the opposite. The kennel cage makes them feel more secure. The house to a small puppy looks HUGE, and it makes them nervous by themselves in a house without something surrounding them all day. It also takes away the fear that they're vulnerable from attack from another animal.
Hope this helps. I've houstrained several dogs this way.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://bitly.im/aMQMz
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

There are many different ways that you can house train your puppy. I am just going to layout a couple that you might want to consider. There is always going to buy a training book at your local pet store (e.x. Daves or Petco). That will help you with some of the basic commands such as sit, roll over, lie down and come. on the other hand if you want to train it in ither words you can bye your dog some training mats therefore when it goes to the bathroom you can train it to go on these mats at least until he or she gets trained to go outside. If your dog does the right thing don't forget to appraise it. Best of luck to you and your puppy.

No plans for him using the outdoors as his toilet? You've had him a month and he pees wherever he wants? Hate to live at your house!
I've never had a dog that has taken longer then 2 weeks to fully house train, puppies or adults. Sounds to me like you didn't do your homework before getting a dog. Shame on you.
Hopefully you have some sort of routine at your house. If you don't, then establish one! Your dog's bathroom habits will quickly adjust to a routine schedule of eating, sleeping, playtime, and outside time. Be consistant!

Well, they now make puppy litter boxes and litter. First, you need to buy puppy pads and a puppy litter box. Put the puppy pad into the litter box for the first 2 weeks of training. If the puppy doesn't go to the box right away, clean up the poop or wip the pee and put it into the box. then set the puppy into the box as well. Eventually this will teach the pup to go in the box. Always reward your pup for using the box and clean his box everyday. After the pup gets use to going to the box to go to the bathroom, then exchange the pad for puppy litter.
Good luck! You can buy the puppy pads at wal-mart, and the same for the litter and the box.

Get a little puppy et carrier then let him out. If he pees or shits, then show him what he did wrong, then lock him in the carrier for an hour. then let him back out. After a while, he should catch on pretty well. Just don't forget to show him his accident before you lock him up so that he knows what he did wrong because if you don't then he will not understand the whole procedure.

if you are going to housetrain him in the house.... i have heard of dog litter boxes, like for cats
but works for me (even though I am also house training for my pup to go outside)... of the puppy training pads.....
petsmart has them, but kmart useally has them on sale cheapest
(cheaper than walmart), and start by having maybe 4 pads in a spot, and when he is circling, place him on it, it contains a scent that attacks them
but since they have no sense of place, you need a big area for a while, so they don't miss,
you can also buy a spray to help them alone.... i find it kinda works.... i got it at petsmart for like $5 or something.... it's white with a yellow label.... and spray it at the edge so the get led by it and they bodies are aimed for the middle of the pad.....
then eventually, you can train him to go to two pads, the one
i have gotten my pup from 4 to 1 pad in 2 months, but she also knows to go to the door when she needs to go out, but if she can't hold it, she goes to the pad....
now if you want to use newspaper, you may need to just work a little more or spray it, since newspaper has not certain smell for them, but if you have no carpet, they may like to use it better.....

at 3 months a domestic dog could desire to be waiting to hold its bladder for a million hour according to each month it incredibly is previous. so 3 months=3hrs 5months=5hrs till 365 days. Take it out genuine after it eats and each half-hour to an hour. domestic canines do no longer sniff for a niche...they only circulate. quickly the domestic dog will study the place to circulate and you will initiate seeing a sniffing trend initiate. This takes time a sufferers. don't get mad on the domestic dog. Its in basic terms doing what it know to do. in case you get mad and by way of it exterior it is going to start to think of that going out is a punishment, and not "ask" to circulate out. you should use the artwork NO to startle the domestic dog yet do no longer scold. What I even have executed replaced into to hang a small Christmas bell down by capacity of the floor and as quickly as I take the domestic dog out I ask "you opt to circulate exterior" and in basic terms previously I placed her out...I rang the bell. Took a pair of month yet now, while she has to circulate out she makes use of her nostril to ring the bell and that i permit her out....it incredibly is incredibly cool.
