are you good at something? Books, music, talents, hobbies? Whatever it is, you can work off of that
- or most of what you and your friends talk about together is cool to discuss with girls too

also, try to overcome your shyness by stepping outside of your bounds. start with some friendly chat rooms on the net and start talking! Its okay if you mess up and say the wrong thing, you have anonymity so no one knows your face or name! putting yourself in these kind of situations will help you become more confident and comfortable with the opposite sex

First of all go to the library, and get some books on self esteem, this will help you to work on your confidants. Once you can feel good about yourself, and have confidants, then you can face the world. These books can get you ready to go out and deal with people. As far as conversations are concerned, Start to look at the news, or read the papers, once you know about current events, then you can have a conversation, with any one. You can start by saying, How has your day being going? or you can ask her what she likes to do? Ask her out for pizza? You will be okay, just relax, and be your self!

This judgment is your own. We, rarely, could do a clear judgment of our self. Quiet and shy are some qualities of yours today... tomorrow will be another different day and you a different guy. Do not force changes. As you have friend, let the life run its way.

If you're quiet, than you're probably pretty observant? Observe the girl you want to talk to. Find some common ground. Maybe in a group setting it would be easier to talk to her?
Girls are easy though, if I guy talks to me about music I'll just blab for hours.

Find someone who has interest similar to yours it has to be something you really like doing so you can have a lot to talk about and show interest and excitement for l don't know like you like certain kinds of movies, you like bowling, etc.. and so forth you don't be shy discussing things you really like doing

Ask questions. Ask questions about the person you are with, get them talking about themselves. Then you can add things about yourself to keep the conversation going.

If you like a girl, think of her as one of your friends, the ones that are girls, and just ask her something. Like "Hey, how's it going today"? or something about school, if you still in school.

Relationships begin with friendship.
