This really depends on how fast you are running or biking and the incline or decline of the service that you are on. Ideally you want to train using different intensities and change your mode (bike and run) often to protect you from repetitive use injuries and stress fractures. Inclines are generally harder on a bike since you are at a mechanical disadvantage on wheeled devices, but on level surfaces, using the same intensity biking would be faster.

On average, most people burn about 750 calories per hour on a treadmill. The same people are likely to burn about 550 calories per hour on an exercise bike.

My partner and i started going for a 15 minute fast walk after our tea over two months and lost half a stone. Takes a bit of doing but easier than getting the old bike out......

Both will burn calories...but biking (and I don't mean leisurely biking) will definitely burn more. I would say a good 20-30 minutes of hard biking will burn a significant amount of calories.

it all depends on your speed and resistance - biking probably burns more, but if you are doing this right after you eat it might be too intense and give you cramps, so walking may be your best choice for after eating - unless you are waiting an hour after than biking would be fine

It depends on how fast you walk or bike.
Biking at 5.5 mph burns fewer calories than walking at 3.5 mph.
But biking at 9.4 mph burns more calories than the walking.
