You have more stimulation in your fingers than your toes.

You are constantly bending or moving your fingers. This stimulates them and makes your nails grow faster.

Yes you do walk on your toes but you are not constantly moving them to create as much stimulation.

Just look at the thickness of toenails as compared to fingernails and you have the answer.

I believe it has something to do with the circulatory system of the body not getting enough O2 and other vital nutrients as well as in the fingers.

I think nails grow quicker when they are exposed to sunlight and obviously your hands are more exposed than your feet.

This my own theory and I could be way out in left field, but I think it's because your feet spend more time covered than your hands.

My toe nails grow longer cos I bite my finger nails and can't reach my toes.
