I had a terrible experience with United. When I went to the customer service counter, the line was so long that I never made it to the representative because my next flight was leaving. I tried to make a complaint through the internet, but when I clicked on the submit it could not find the web page. If you had a problem with United, please post it here. I want to know if it was just me, or do they really suck. Right now if I could I would find a way to push them out of business.

After reading a few answers, I would like to add that my main problem was rudness from the flight attendants, and I was in first class. Part of the problem was that there was no space left on the overhead compartment because of the emergency gear they had there. So instead of trying to assisst me, they told me to go compete for space with the back. Don't take me wrong, I do not think that I am better than the rest of the passengers; but if I paid more for the extra space and service, I should get it without having to compete for it.

I will never fly United because they have this idea that employees and employee benifits are disposiable. They have a serious problem with mistreating their employees and customers. This happens because the employees get something taken away or something happenes and then they just don't feel like being "nice" that day so it gives them a bad customer service reputation. Personally I like to call them Untied Airlines.

The are horrible. I was flying from Jacksonville to Boston with a layover in Philly. During the layover the plane pulled to the gate sat there for 45 minutes then left. We were told it had mechanical problems (but had already flown that day). They put us on another plane (after a 2 hour delay) we got to the runway and were told they had a problem with that plane as well. We went back to the gate and a man in blue jean shorts and a tee shirt came out to fix the plane. I will NEVER fly with them again. Worst experience ever because the refused compensation and were rude as hell. I fly about 30 times a year but never with them again!!!!

My sister did. They gave her baby's stroller to some lady that didn't even have a child! When she confronted them, they said "Oh well. Sorry." She went over & took her stroller back, and showed United's security that she had the claim check for it.
