keep offering him regular foods slowly , the reason he wants baby foods is the texture is diffrent in the adult foods and they dont get used to it too easily you can also try 3rd foods first they are a bit chunkier than 2nd foods and also help them get used to texture of adult foods . they also have gerber graduate foods which are like mini adult foods with a lighter texture you may want to try but dont give up in time he will take adult foods it just gets frustrating for a while

Sounds like he knows what is good for him. How about instead of trying to force change on him you nurture this great opportunity. Obviously he loves the healthy process and the pure foods that baby foods uses. If he loves apple sauce for example, try making your own. Yogurt and meat are things that adults can barely digest, maybe you and I can learn a lot from him.

try putting the yogurt in a clean baby food jar mixed half and half with a food he already likes. It will look gross to you, but he won't know. . Don't let him see you put it in the jar, just pull it out of the cabinet like you usually do a baby food jar. Then day after day cut back on the amount of the other food till you have pure yogurt. This works well with other foods , too.

Do no try to entice him with what i call empty foods like mac and cheese crackers that is no healthy if we feed our kids good foods from the begining they will not be so picky stop with the baby food who is the parent you or a 13 month old? the problem these days is parents are lazy the want to take the easy way out do not give in that baby will eat when he gets hungry enough. take regulare food and chop it up. do not give in or your child will have bad eating habits.

Try offering those foods in addition to the baby food. Start with animal crackers, and fruit (grapes, orange slices, etc.), pasta, chicken nuggets, anything soft or he can hold by himself. Gradually add these things to the table along with baby food. Then when he finds something he likes or finds familiar, start taking away the baby food. It worked for my cousin and now "Mikey" eats anything! Good Luck!
Gerber also makes toddler foods (Little Entrees), so you could try those too!

Start slowly give him some of the new foods with the baby food. It takes a few tries to get them to eat new things also try when you are eating to give him a bite of your food I was reading the other day that babies start developing a skill to keep from eating things that they are not supposed to around that age so they know it's o.k. to eat it if they see mom and dad eating it

My daughter got bored with the second foods, so we went on to some of the 3rd foods. She loved them! No harm in trying for a while. What about trying bananas as a solid food, or boiled carrots?

childrens are choosy. My daughter will eat something. My nephew ate mac n cheese popular for 4 weeks at once! It in basic terms relies upon on the youngster and what they prefer. some childrens are choosy approximately textures and scents. You mentioned she likes cheese puffs so i might attempt to discover something this is comparable and progressively she would be in a position to get used to the different ingredients. you need to purpose the Gerber Graduates Finger ingredients that they make for babies. They make all categories of puffs snacks! And while you're incredibly worried approximately it...Pedia specific makes a drink for babies who won't get the nutrition that they % from nutrition. this is such as milk, in basic terms flavored. Im specific with time she would be in a position to start attempting extra new ingredients and actually taking area in a number of them. sturdy success!

Actually this is good as baby foods have a lot more vitamins so you know he is healthy eating. Sounds like he is not ready for more sophisticated taste/textures so be patient and try small amounts that he is able to put into his own mouth(them seem to prefer that) than being fed. You might also talk w/your pediatrician. Good luck

Slowly add food to thicken it up so he gets used to a thicker texture. He should not be on baby foods at this age, so fade it out when he accepts thicker textures.
