Because the liberal media came up with some sort of "Bush Conspiracy," saying how he planned 9/11 and how he started the war because he's blood-thirsty and power-hungry. What a load, I know. What they fail to realize, though, is that the guys in Iraq opted to go. There is no draft making them go. They are patriotic Republicans (got that from the % that voted for Bush) that are out protecting their right to bad-mouth the president. Instead of getting excited over every new death in Iraq so they can use that against the Bush administration, they should be praying for the solders and thanking them. If it weren't for them, they'd be bashing Bush in Arabic.

I don't know why anything happens the way it does these days!
But, I would like to say thank you to all of our troops for what they do for this country!
My older sister just joined and her boyfriend spent a little over a year in Iraq, I just don't understand why people use our troops and this war for political gain!
I would also like to say did people not see what happend on 9/11? This is not just some oil war and it's not Bush's war!! It is deffense against people who will stop at nothing to kill Americans!!

This is actually a really good question.
People will say *anything* if they think it gives them a political advantage.
Both sides of the street do this with different issues and it's wrong when either side does it.
I am prepared for the thumbs down now...

It's just like you said. They don't care about our troops. It's just a soapbox for them to get people riled up. I'm proud of our troops and I'm thankful everyday for their service to our country. Go Bush.

One of the reasons why we "libs" don't like Bush's war is the very fact you cited. Our brave young soldiers are being killed in Bush's war, when "we don't have a dog in this fight." Because Bush got us into this war which never should have been started, we are now losing young men and women in a fight that is basically between Iraqis. If we are going to war we need to make sure that we "do have a dog in the fight".

Maybe you're not listening to fellow veterans who disagree with you...you have every right to disagree but I think you should acknowledge and respect them at least. Here's just a few links provided by Veterans against the Iraq War, Veterans For Peace and Iraq veterans Against the War

Because we know people in Iraq and we want them to come home, and we are furious that they were sent there in the first place. Also the leadership of this country is CIVILIAN, and we the voters are the ones responsible for holding the president's feet to the fire when he lies to the country and engages in unnecessary war. You yourself are partially responsible for the troops being in Iraq if you voted republican. Those of us who opposed the war from day one have just as much right as you to criticize or praise the administration based on the facts, and military deaths are very stark facts.
