I was practicing one day on my uncle, when he offered to receive one full power punch at the back of his ribs without gloves. I did, and I noticed that when I used my full force to punch, I hurt my wrist. Is there any technique to punch full strenght without the wrist getting hurt after a few times?

ive had this happen to me also. make sure that your wrist is not bent and should be straight aligned with your arm. and also like the others said use the rotating of the wrist to tighten tendons and to give your punch a little more power. it also depends on where or what you are punching. so keep practicing and good luck.

As you punch you should be rotating your fist so that your thumb ends up at the 7'o clock position (if you are right handed) 5'o clock (if you are a southpaw) It serves a couple of purposes, it rotates and tightens the tendons in your wrist, it brings your shoulder and elbow up to protect your jaw and face, but mostly you wrist won't crumble.

practice practice practice.... but for me... If I punch full on in a driving motion, I punch with my thumb up. Still in a fist but instead of fingers down, they are to the left or right. "a straight" punch.

Your wrist should always be straight when hitting something. Do alot of heavy bag work.
