My Poppy seems to like it.

She had the name when I got her, and I couldn't think of anything better. So Poppy she is.

It has the advantage of being versatile. She's been called Pop Star, Pop Tart, Popsicle, HR Popinstuff, Popinski, Poppertop, Floppy Poppy, Poppy Marie (when she's bad), Papi (with a Mexican accent, Poppy come to Mommy.....and so on.

No it isnt.
The cat would be a laughing stock and you would also have to stand in your garden shouting it's name and will look a fool.
I've had 3 cats, names: Dave, Stink and the latest - Barry. .
Think of something original.

You mean 'is'? or 'I'?

If its 'is'. Then the answer is maybe. You should describe the cat to us to see what its like. Then we have a better answer.
