I THINK THEY CALL THEM "ILLEGALS" BECAUSE THEY COME HERE "ILLEGALLY" (*CRACKERS* DO THAT...)lol for real...anyways they always talk bad about them and yea you are right they talk as if they commited a big crime like bomb the twin towers like you said but all they did was suffer to cross the border and provide a better life for their families in america..... is that really a crime? sure i think if an illegal or ANYONE who commits something that is against the law like killing someone should go to jail...but they shouldn't be deported for trying to suceed in life.....:-)

I see I disagree with the viewpoint you imply in this question but I respect your reasoning
We call them illegals because they ILLEGALLY entered the country..no one ever said it is worse than killing someone. It is more wrong than someone who follows law and enters legally.
It is and should be a crime for various reasons.
Would you like someone to come in with a super flu that is highly contagious airborne disease that kills within 24 hours that starts a plague and kills everyone?
Would you like for people to bring animals or plant that would not fit properly into the country's ecology thereby disrupting the balance and causing a crop failure which starts off a famine that leads to the death of thousands?
These are just 2 reasons besides the common sense ones that a country has the right to protect it boarders and citizens by controlling who enters the country. If I broke into your home but did not attack, steal or do anything else wrong then shouldn't I be allowed to stay as long as I like and you be required to name me as an official household member?
My answer is no.
What made this a big issue is that after all these years the illegal immigrants got together and DEMANDED that citizens conform to their wishes..now using the metaphor above if I break into your home isn't it rude, at the very best, to call you racist and demand you do what i want?
My answer is yes
Is that right for me to do to you?

I got this in an email a few days ago.....
Two Proposals Worth Considering...
New Gas Plan....Bush wants us to cut the amount of gas we use. The best way to stop using so much gas is to deport 11 million illegal immigrants! That would be 11 million less people using our gas. The price of gas would have to come down as a result.
New Immigration Plan... Bring our troops home from Iraq to guard the border. When they catch an illegal immigrant crossing the border, hand him a canteen, rifle and some ammo and ship him to Iraq . Tell him if he wants to come to America , then he must serve a tour in the military. Give him a soldier's pay while he's there and tax him on it. After his tour, he will be allowed to become a citizen since he defended this country. He will also be registered to be taxed a nd be a legal patriot. This option will probably deter illegal immigration and provide a solution for the troops in Iraq , and the aliens trying to make a better life for themselves. If they refuse to serve, ship them to Iraq anyway, without the canteen, rifle or ammo. Problem solved.

when you have a person jump the fence and comes to this country, that person makes another spanish person lose his self-respect, because guess what... everybody takes a first look at them and say oh, this guy is a illegal too.and this is only problem created by illegals, not including the tough immigration processes for LEGAL aliens because of those illegals.

If you were to go to Mexico as an american and you did so without a visa, and they found you, you would end up in jail. Many people believe that this is how the problem should be handled in our country, also.
We've had really lenient enforcement on immigration for the last 20 years. It's contributed to the development of a lot of problems across the country, and it really is time to consider how tolerating illegal immigration anymore is going to help vs. harm our country.
You think it's harmless, others disagree.
Read about Arizona...big problems with it, there...other states, also.

Crossing the border with the intention of living here and working here without proper papers is illegal. That is what makes them illegal, even if they never committed a crime in their own countries. This country has an immigration policy for legal immigrants, they have papers and status. When we have eleven milliion illegals here neither the illegal immigrant is protected from harsh treatment nor is society protected against people we may not want in the our country.

Uh, they have committed a crime by entering this country illegally. Just because it is not as bad as killing someone or robbing someone does not mean it is not a crime. Stealing $50 is not as bad as stealing $50 million. Does that mean that it isn't still illegal? If you are saying that it shouldn't be a crime, then you are just uninformed about the issue.

Apparently you misunderstand the definition of the word crime. Illegals commit crime from the moment they cross the border. They continue to commit crimes by using fake ID's and stolen identities in order to obtain jobs that should belong to our citizens. Welfare fraud, drug importation, gang activity, these things are all crimes. If they weren't here, they wouldn't be committing crimes. They all need to go home and they will when we elect representatives that are willing to enforce the laws already in place. There will be no free handouts to reward them with, no more overcrowded homes violating housing regulations. They will soon understand that they can stay home and stay poor. They won't need to come here and drain our economy like they currently do.

Crossing the border without legal papers is the crime they commit. We do not need more criminals. Its a big deal when they drain money from services meant for legal citizens.
