you may be able to get some info at the library. the first immigrants as far as i know were brought over ,to rebuild london after the second world war. the Indians and Pakistanis had British passports so were allowed to come

it`s impossible to answer this question, since we joined the EU as there is supposed to be an open border policy between the member countries.
The govt give out figures but who could believe them they lost 500,000 illegals and asylum seekers
