Which were them? What happened ultimately?

In my case, my heart responds to one (Islam) and my brain to another one (Buddhism), and I am feeling kind of torn apart. The one with which I was born (Catholic) never moved me.

I guess that's what happens when you start reading too much, huh? Anycase, I shall be grateful for any experience you want to share with me.

I was born a hindu but consider myself a universitalist , i have lived in Middle east , south east asia & am presently residing in Europe, plus I have read a lot of books & scriptures, I personally dont accept a religion without realiseing its true meaning,if you want a religion with rules like in school go for islam, if you want a religion which is extremely peacefull but affliation isnt strong like in abrahmic religions then go for buddhism, if you beleive that god is omnipresent and things like karma then go for Hinduism, although i must warn you their is a big draw back in islam it has a very constricting thought process which sometimes you realise after a few years. as you were born a catholic which is abrahamic you would be easily able to relate to their laws and theories but if you question the principles of any abrhamic religion then you will not be happy with islam rest is your wish , you can read about other religions as well like sikhism, jainism etc.

I am Muslim but when I went to U S A and see many nice people I thought about Christianity . I found that they believe in the same things that I believe in like hell, paradise, prophets , Jesus ( peace and blessing be upon him )and Mary ,etc . No wonder we believe in the same God, but I choose Islam as a religion because Islam is the last religion prevail By God and Islam has been proved scientifically . Pray God he will listen and he will show you the right path.If you choose Islam then God will forgive all your previous sins.

I know what you mean. I was raised Baptist and consider myself an Eclectic Wiccan. That doesn't mean I don't share some of the same views Baptists do, I may just view them differently.

I believe in taking bits and pieces that appeal to you to from different religions and incorporating them in your beliefs. The spiritual path is a personal one. Be true to yourself.

I believe it is better to use your brain. Islam/Christianity doesn't need a brain, just their respective books.

I noticed that :) when we had email conversations. I will say follow your heart :) No one attains a clear path till they are 100% sure.

Ps. I identify alot with you I was in the same position :)
