This is bringing me down as well, why can i do this person , as used every drug imaginable?

well if the relative you live with can complain of nothing other then drugs then you should take the person to a professional to see if they can figure out what is wrong

As a retired mental health / substance abuse counselor for 20+ years, let me be the first (maybe) here to tell you, you can't do anything to "improve" such a person, so why in the hell would you ever want to live with them. There is no relative at all that's worth living with like that, so I would, if I were still "in the business", and even now that I'm retired from it, tell you to get rid of that person. You are not going to change them and they aren't going to be any better to live with in the forseeable future, I promise you. They are diagnosable pains-in-the-asss, and you don't have the "cure", believe me. No one does except them and God. And, on top of having been "in the profession" for 20+ years dealing with them, I grew up with a sister who delved into that stuff way too often, and I have built a wall between us that makes the builders of the noted Berlin Wall and the Miniute Men's Border Wall between the U.S. and Mexico want to consult me for details, and that's the only way to live around someone like that. I know that sounds tough and mean, and I do hate to do without my sister since we had such a wonderful childhood together, decades ago, but we aren't kids anymore, and I won't treat her as one and won't be treated as one. JESUS IS THE ANSWER FOR BOTH OF YOU! HE IS YOUR COUNSELOR, THERE IS A 70% RATE ON ADDICTS WHOM GIVE THEIR LIVES TO JESUS VERSES 30% RATE THAT GO TO REHAB WHERE THEY TEACH HIGHER POWER. YOU AND THEM NEED CHRISTIAN COUSELING. I PRAY GOD WILL BLESS YOU. PLEASE ACCEPT HIS OFFER OF LIFE .
