Unlike the portrayals you see in the movies demons do exist. It's not really suprising that atheists don't believe in demons, just one more item to the list. There is two dangers one to deny they exist and the other to become consumned or fearful of them. I read a book a number of years go by a pyschologist who put out a request to the public asking for cases of what people believed were demonic possession. The frist few cases he recognized as medical conditions but then to his suprise he encountered what he believed was a legitimate case. The book was titled the people of the lie by M. Scott Peck. Although I take a little liberty in finding humour at those who see halloween as Satan's birthday I do think they are perhaps sincere but the zeal exceeds knowledge. I also know people who have prayed deliverance for people. Again it is an area people need to be knowledgeable of. In the last few years I have heard of some cases on tv of people trying to perform excorcisms and they had tradgic results. These are usually performed by people who do not kow their authority and resort to trying to fight the devil through fleshly means. Those who don't believe in God are likely to ridcule, which is understandable. It's not easy to face the evil in our own lives.

The word angel in Hebrew just means Messenger... And the word Demon comes from the Greek Daemon, which just means Spirit... it did not have good or bad in the meaning... just spirit.
And no, people do not have to believe in a devil just because they believe in a god. And it's very easy to believe in a Deity without believing in Angels or Demons. I do believe in Spirits, some good, some not so good, some neutral... but my believe in a Deity does not mean I have to believe in all of those other things.
The term Satan was not a separate deity/demon in the Jewish Faith... Ha Satan, is an accuser, an advesary.... Your Own Selfishness is what "Satan" is in the Jewish belief. We can't just go changing the original meanings of things and say that the change is the truth.... otherwise you are saying that the original is a lie... which would therefore make the Old Test a lie, at least on that part.
And if there were sooo many angels and demons, someone, somewhere would have gotten proof outside of a book of these things. Look at how many Camera Phones are out there now!

Demons have a peculiar way of blending into the world around us; they rely on the vanity of Man to work on the unsuspecting populace with chilling ease. After several years in the Marine Corps, you learn that most people are ignorant to what true demons are--I'm sure that there are veteran law officers that have volumes of experience with demons and will tell you that there is a distinct difference between your average criminal crazy and those that aspire to be something else...

well okay. maybe there are such things as evil invisible predators stalking human souls with the intent of pouncing and devouring them. however, since demons cause or are caused by brain chemistry imbalance great strides have be taken lately in exorcising said demons with the right medications.
PS. it also helps to be careful not to eat moldy rye bread. ergot poisoning also causes demon infestation.

Since he certainly not harmed you, I believe you're high-quality. Put mantras round four corners of the apartment. I am additionally buddist. Put them on north, east, south, and west corners. Also, whilst he's in entrance of you, pray. If he disappears, he's a demon. If he's nonetheless there, than he isn't damaging. Put those on across the corners: Amituofo of simply placed down your possess faith prayers :o pray this whilst he looks Amituofo Amituofo: Ah-mee-twoh-foh

You are wrong. Demons are imaginary. So is God and so is the Devil. Angels are imaginary too.

We do it like this.
There are no such things as demons.
They were made up to scare little children into being good.
