I just read her story. It looked so familiar, it broke my heart. I certainly didn't look like Jessica Alba, but I too was made to feel ashamed of having some curves as a teenage Christian girl.

TexasMade, the point is that Jessica Alba described an experience that's too familiar to many women, even those who never looked as good as her.

Whew, what a relief! I thought this meant that she was born-again NOW, rather than in the past.
It's good to hear of those who are able to throw off those ridiculous shackles.
Even when it's a celebrity I care nothing about!
I was raised catholic, and I never had this problem. But I also grew up in the great white north, where fundamentalism didn't have strong roots. The religious nutters were few and far between.
