sometimes. i have a guy friend who likes me. we never even dated. but he always gives me the negative sides of stories I tell him involving me an other men. but after a while he gives the positive side. Many people are selfish. i think you should be able to tell when someone has your best interest at heart. just be on the look out. why you friends with an ex anyway. i try to keep things and people from the past as that. the past. soemtimes you can make exceptions. but use discretion

Depends, but I would say most of the time, no. because their opinion would be biased. There are instances were the ex can give you objective nonbiased opinion, but not often

No way why... you putting him in all your business suppose he has some old vendetta against you and exacts revenge or suppose he sabbatoges you so you can back with him no its just not good for an old boyfriend in your business period
