we are having a descusion in class what came first in life the chicken or the egg this sounds stupid but its a question that needs answered

Chickens slowly evolved from dinosaurs, which laid eggs. So the egg came first.

Yet you could alway go this way.
The chicken came forst because the evolution took place and some animal became the chicken therefore the chicken came first and layed the egg.
We had this disscussion so many times.

which came first? If the owner was a farmer it was probably the chicken then the egg, then the peeps. If you're talking evolution, God probably didn't want to waste any time and made the chicken (not the egg) cause he made man (and not a baby) first.
that's an age old question, has been talked about lots on the net, and no one has the answer.

I love this question. It is SOOO easy. The chicken came first. If the egg came first there would be no chicken to keep the egg warm to hatch it and therefore the chicken would never exist.

Well no matter what MAN says, or where man says they came from or what you believe, no one can change the BIBLE. The Lord GOD made the chicken first, common sense would tell you to go READ and STUDY GENISES the first book of the BIBLE and then read the story about NOAH and his ARK. You know God made MAN out of the dirt of the earth, and took the woman from his ribs, same with all anmals. There is no proven facts of any animal revolving out of or from another living creature, nor does the BIBLE Speak of such things. Those things and thoughts are simply someone else's opinion they brainwashed all these gullable people to believe. You can not change the Bible or add to it. Because IT IS.

It depends, If you believe God created the Earth, as I do, than he would have created a chicken when he created the animals. So, the chicken came first, then eggs.

i would have to go with egg, since that would be where to origional mutation started that created the chicken we now know.
